F.C.O. Mekanixwear

We all do it, it's too hot and all the kit is too hard to put on, so we test ride or go down the street in shorts. Over the last couple of years I've had a pair of overalls (boiler suit) that I keep hanging up for quick use. Not really any use in a slide down the road but better than nothing. So I went further and crossed our F.C.J. perforated leather jacket with my Dickies overallls and got the F..CO. (the C is for Cool, the O for Overalls) is designed to be worn over shorts and shirt, it fits loosely, to be easy to put on and wear, comfortable and most of all it is perforated to keep cool on the move. Classic styling looks as cool as it is.
Made from perforated naked leather with full CE armour, a mesh lining, quilted leather patches on knee and elbow, three huge patch pockets this is THE suit for Australian summer (or winter up north). As sizing is loose the suit can usually be shared by several people limiting the number needed for a workshop with many mechanics.
The air flow through perforations is immediate, the reason most Moto GP riders wear perforated suits, as soon as you're moving you have a draught, but unlike a race suit, this is easy to wear

Every shop should have them for their staff (and the boss), If it only saved one injury that only cost time off work, workcover claim etc it's paid for itself. more is obvious
We sent the suit to Mr Alex Buckle---- Motorcycle specialist from Worksafe Victoria for his view. His immediate reaction was extremely positive and he looks forward to testing it further himself as our southern climate warms up for summer.
I will publish his comments here as I get them
